Jason S.T Kuo Solo Exhibition in Penang,



Launched by Mr. Keng Choo, the Director of Xiao En Cultural on 3th November  2006 , Jason S.t Kuo Solo Exhibition features 30 recent artwroks  in various media including oil painting, pastel and sculptures. The exhibtiion is jointly presented by Xian En Cultural, Europe Asia Institute and Conservatory of Fine Arts..

Jason S. T. Kuo, a former graduate from Taiwan National Art University in 1975. Jason Kuo, a full time professional artist cum sculptor has held 25 solo exhibitions in Taiwan and abroad and has been commissioned to create public sculptures.  He is the advisor of Taiwan Sculpture Society and Chairman of the Taiwan Public Art Research Co

The exhibition will be continued till 13th November 2006.

On the same opening day at 7.30pm there was an art dialogue session. I
nvited speakers are Jason S.T.  Kuo and Dr. Ong Seng Huat, Vice Principal of MCA School of Political Studies will be the commentator.

to enhance Georgetown


INSTALLATION  ART  -at the Heart of  Georgetown


Visitors to the Galeri Art Point at Jalan Chow Thye are confronted  by a  large-scale installation hung on top of a big tree at the entrance of Galeri Art Point ( branch ) at 46 & 48 Jalan Chow Thye.

Using the artist's palette as the concept, A gruop of 5  artists in Penang under the mentorship of Jason S. T. Kuo, a renown Taiwanese sculptor cum visiting professor of Public art  created the first installation art at Galeri Art Point at 46& 48 Jalan Chow Thye, Penang. On view 13 November  - 29 December 2006.

The artists -Lew Heng Jit,  Chiou Ling Chyi, Tang Siew Khun, Lee Hui Har, Ooi Chee Kheng  foudn the expereince very rewarding and agreed that large scale installation art at public space is beneficial to both art and society.
